Christmas 2006

Christmas has come and gone. We had two great Christmas celebrations.

A week before Christmas we had Christmas with the Henning side. I think everyone got spoiled and enjoyed themselves.

For Christmas we went up to Young to be with the Hatches. We were happy to see some snow stuck around on the road into Young and we made Buck get out of the truck to experience it. We don't think he is real fond of it, especially when he started to shiver.

We didn't have all of the family together, but we had a lot of fun watching movies, playing games, opening presents and of course eating.

Our photos from all of our Christmas celebrations are on our photo page.

Now we are officially moving on to baby countdown. I feel like a much better parent now that we went into Phoenix yesterday and bought a car seat, stroller and a crib. Now I have to start getting busy getting the nursery set up.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Merry Christmas

I just wanted to take a little time to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Since Jeremy and I have been married we alternate families each year for Thanksgiving/Christmas. This year we had Thanksgiving with my family at our house and for Christmas we are heading up to Young (and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a white Christmas - unlikely though). We had "Christmas" with my family last Saturday and had a great time. Since we don't get to see a lot of family this time of year (where does all the time go?) we hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.

I also hope that everyone takes a little time this year (where you can find some) and remember why we are celebrating this time of year. This time of year is to remember the birth of Jesus who has done so much more for us than we can even begin to understand.

Jeremy and I were able to take some time to attend a Temple session last night and it was nice to be able to sit and think about the real meaning of this time of year without any of the distractions of holiday hustle and bustle. We have also been able to attend the Temple lights twice this year and that also allows you to step out of the world and enjoy the beauty that the season has to offer.

To all our family and friends, we love you and wish you all the blessings of the season!
Merry Christmas!

Good to be home

We just returned from our trip to Colorado to attend Jeremy's best friend's wedding. We left early Friday morning and returned to Phoenix late this morning. Colorado was beautiful with a nice blanket of snow. We surprisingly adjusted to the cold weather pretty quickly. Jeremy was lucky enough to go snowboarding for 1/2 a day on Saturday before the wedding and all day Sunday. I unfortunately couldn't go have fun with the rest of them. The wedding was nice as was the little town that we stayed in, but no matter where you go I think it always feels good to come home.
